Works For Me: Cleaning Magic
Today is Wednesday and I am again participating in
Shannon's Works For Me!
HOW TO CLEAN THE HOUSE
1. Open a new file in your PC.
2. Name it "Housework."
3. Send it to the RECYCLE BIN.
4. Empty the RECYCLE BIN.
5. Your PC will ask you...
"Are you sure you want to delete Housework permanently?"
6. Calmly answer, "Yes," and press the mouse button firmly......
7. Feel better?
Works for me!
Okay, I actually do have a great tip for housecleaning. Monica mentioned this in her WWFM last week, but I think it is worth expounding on. If you have yet to find this product:
- it will change your life. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Allow me to illustrate with my wall:
Yes. I Did. No, I have not gone crazy. Just watch:
And, voila:
GONE, like Buttah!
Also, great for soap scum, black marks on floors and those scuff marks you thought you could only paint over! For a bucket full of other uses check here.
Works for Me!
PS. Momma Darlin and My Full Hands, I'll post the how to paint cloud instructions tommorrow!

You are funny Nettie! Love the demonstration. This is one cleaning product I can actually find here in Small Town. Love them!
ReplyDeleteGreat product!! I just found that Target has its own imitation Magic Eraser for cheaper. Not sure if it works exactly the same- thank goodness I haven't had to use it yet. If you have kids the Magic Eraser is a necessity.
ReplyDeleteI will be deleting my housework today!! Love the magic eraser. It also gets the white scuff marks of off cabbage patch doll heads.
ReplyDeleteIf only there was some sort of magic associated with your first idea so it would really go away.
ReplyDeleteYou are brave and must have a lot of faith in Mr. Clean. Thanks for the link.
You made me giggle with that first one. I LOVE the Mr. Clean. He's a hero at our house.
ReplyDeleteI love, love the PC idea. I'm going to try it right now. Thanks for the laugh.
ReplyDeleteI used the Magic Eraser to make our house sparkly before we sold it a couple years ago. Works great for getting scuff marks off of a white dryer.
ReplyDeleteI've found you do have to be careful using it on gloss or semi-gloss paint, though, because it can pull the finish right off with the crayon marks. I'm not sure which looks worse. ;-)
Thanks for stopping by!
Wish it would delete the mess in my house caused by remodeling right now!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Too funny! Seriously, though, I've heard great things about the Magic Eraser. I don't know WHY I haven't tried them yet! Great demo, though!
ReplyDeleteLOVE my M.E. Used it yesterday to clean scuff marks off my front door. LOVED your demo. You are a BRAVE one!
ReplyDeleteI am so copying and pasting that quip on housework and sending it to all my family and friends. You are awesome!!!
Love the tutorial- LOL! Gotta love the Magic Eraser. They sell them at Dollar Tree too (an off-brand), but I don't think they are as good as the real deal :)
ReplyDeleteThis has been my favorite one today!
Super tip and fantastic demo.:)
ReplyDeleteI also like Goo Gone for more stubborn crayon artwork - it's safe for painted walls, even.
And I am still laughing about deleting housework. If only...
I was wondering if that really worked. Thanks for the demo!! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL at you writing on your wall to prove a point. I like your first tip best, but it didn't work for me.
ReplyDeleteWhen my husband and I sold our home in WA we used 6 full erasers to clean our walls. The realtor said almost everyone who walked through though we had repainted for the sale. Works for me!!!
ReplyDeleteDITTO, DITTO, DITTO! Mr. Clean rocks!! Loved the demonstration...I almost did this exact same think but on my tub. I guess great minds think alike!!
ReplyDeleteA few years ago when the Magic Eraser was just released, I got a sample in the mail and immediately gave it to my friend with a 2 year old. She put it to the test and now I always have one on hand... and for like a buck fifty, you can't go wrong...
ReplyDeleteHi Nettie,
ReplyDeleteThanks for leaving a comment at my blog!
I love those magic erasers, too! I use them on shoes that have scuff marks on the sides. Works Great!
I really loved the joke. You stole my WFM idea. Though I would not have done such a good demo. My DH is a custodian and they use this at work. It is pretty bad when it has to be used for the doodles of college students.
ReplyDeleteThank you! You made me laugh out loud today. I also love the magic eraser.
ReplyDeleteHehe! That Magic Eraser is awesome. I just used it to clean my son's white leather tennis shoes. They gleeeam.
ReplyDeleteI have got to get me one of those Mr. Clean-things. :) And teach my 2 1/2 year old how to use it! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat demo! Wow, you gotta' love a product that works like that!
ReplyDeletethat stuff looks promising! and you are a funny gal!
ReplyDeleteROFL! WOW~! My mom and sisters have been telling me since I got back to the USA to get one...
