Forcing Forsythia

I love forsythia in bloom, which is good because we have five of them around our yard. They just say spring to me. And I am ready for spring. So, I am cheating and trying to get some blooms early by "forcing" them. I cut some branches and brought them inside. I've never done this before, but if it all goes as planned, I should have a nice display of bright yellow blooms in a few weeks!

  3. I love forsythia too. You will have to let us all know if it works. There might be some around here that I can try. And what a pretty picture that will make when they all turn yellow.

  8. What a great idea. I am ready for spring to. I noticed yesterday that my Daffodils had started to come up. Since I redid my flower garden last year, I even have some coming up in the yard where I missed transfering them. I hope to see some soon. Loves to all.

  10. We should do that too. We have the bush outside, and it does need some trimming. But then again, to get to it I would have to wade through snow up to my knees. Pussey willows, when caught early make a pretty arrangement as well. Have a great day, and bring on spring. I am ready for it.
